Makeup Artist

We are looking for a talented and personable Makeup Artist to join our team at our brand-new Head Spa & Blow Bar, launching this fall. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a modern, beauty-forward environment focused on client wellness, confidence, and high-end service. The ideal candidate is skilled in a variety of makeup techniques, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and is passionate about enhancing natural beauty while delivering an elevated client experience.

You will work closely with our hairstylists and spa team to provide seamless beauty services for everyday glam, special events, and group bookings.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-face makeup applications for a range of client needs (e.g. everyday glam, photoshoots, bridal parties, and special occasions)
• Consult with clients to determine desired look based on event, skin type, and personal preferences
• Maintain a clean and sanitized makeup station at all times
• Recommend products, touch-up kits, and skincare prep if applicable
• Apply false lashes (strip and/or individual) when requested
• Work in tandem with hairstylists to ensure timing and flow for shared clients
• Maintain knowledge of current makeup trends, tools, and techniques
• Uphold excellent customer service and contribute to a luxury guest experience
• Participate in promotional events, content creation, and seasonal marketing when required
• Ensure all tools, products, and surfaces meet health and safety standards

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional makeup experience in a salon, spa, retail beauty, or freelance setting
• Certification or diploma in Makeup Artistry from a recognized school (or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency in a range of makeup styles: natural glam, soft glam, full glam, and event/bridal looks
• Comfortable working with all skin tones, face shapes, and skin types
• Strong hygiene practices and familiarity with sanitation protocols
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Punctual, professional, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Portfolio or social media showcasing recent makeup work is a strong asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
