Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in commercial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, blast chillers, and custom cooling solutions.
    • Operate advanced diagnostic tools and programming equipment to repair, adjust, and optimize system performance.
    • Install, customize, and commission refrigeration and HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
    • Perform maintenance and repairs on commercial appliances such as prep tables, reach-ins, ice machines, slushy machines, and HVAC systems.
    • Replace defective components and reassemble systems using soldering, brazing, and other professional techniques.
    • Provide accurate work estimates, maintain detailed service records, and deliver excellent customer support.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices, equipment innovations, and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC service, installation, and repair.
    • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, multimeters, gauges, and soldering/brazing equipment.
    • Strong understanding of electrical systems and refrigeration cycles.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Licence/Certification:

  • driver's license (required)
  • Gas (G2/3) (preferred)
  • air conditioning & refrigeration license 313A (preferred)
