What it's like to be a Northbridge Senior Technical Assistant

As a Senior Technical Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting our underwriting team by ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service. You'll also mentor and guide Technical Assistants, helping us maintain high standards and deliver on our service commitments.

In this role, you'll:

  • Provide technical and administrative support for underwriting files.
  • Perform data entry, calculations, and generate reports using business systems.
  • Process policy changes, cancellations, and reinstatements accurately and on time.
  • Communicate with underwriters and brokers to verify and gather information.
  • Review applications and endorsements for completeness and accuracy.
  • Mentor and train Technical Assistants, ensuring quality and adherence to procedures.
  • Collaborate on special projects and contribute to process improvements.

If you're great at:

  • Staying organized and managing multiple priorities.
  • Communicating clearly with underwriters, brokers, and team members.
  • Spotting details and ensuring accuracy in everything you do.
  • Sharing knowledge and mentoring others.

If you have:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in the property and casualty insurance industry.
  • Strong data entry and Microsoft Office skills.
  • CIP designation in progress (asset).
