The Role:
As a part of the Jordan Station Design Co team, the successful candidate would be responsible for producing Autodesk Revit drawing packages for all aspects of our projects from design through to the completion of construction drawings here at JSD Co. We are looking for a hard-working, detail-oriented candidate to work side by side with our design team. The successful candidate must exhibit exceptional knowledge of the OBC and must have remarkable skills in utilising Autodesk Revit software. In further detail, the successful candidate would be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities:
- Prepare conceptual design drawings in conjunction with the Design Manager,
- Analyze architectural plans, drawings and complete amendments with minimal supervision, using Autodesk Revit software,
- Production of Autodesk Revit drawings from preliminary concepts including the required technical drafting and specifications,
- Prepare and facilitate schematic plans, designs and construction drawings for architectural projects while applying knowledge of design, building materials, the OBC and building science,
- Coordinate with builders throughout construction, and
- Work on multiple projects, with tight deadlines, while prioritizing, collaborating, and communicating clearly with all parties involved.
- The experience and ability to review and mark-up construction drawings for accuracy and detail is an asset.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience working as an Architectural Technologist applying OBC standards.
- Diploma in Architectural Technology required,
- Licensed Technologist OAA or BCIN (legal + house or higher),
- Highly proficient in Autodesk Revit and bluebeam,
- Thorough understanding of the Ontario Building Code (OBC), architectural standards and building science,
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization and communication skills, and
- Access to a personal vehicle with an Ontario drivers license.
Compensation & Hours:
- Competitive compensation based on experience
- Yearly bonuses
- Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with flexible working hours.
