Part-Time Janitor / Cleaner – Daycare (Port Moody, BC)

We're a BC-licensed daycare dedicated to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming space for the children in our care. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Casual Janitor/Cleaner to help keep our facility tidy and sanitized on a regular basis.

  • Job Overview:

As our Janitor/Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the daycare facility. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys attention to detail cleaning duties, has a flexible schedule, and takes pride in creating clean, healthy environments.

  • Key Responsibilities

  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces throughout the facility.

  • Clean and sanitize washrooms, sinks, and other high-touch areas.

  • Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners.

  • Wipe down tables, chairs, and common areas used by children and staff.

  • Report any maintenance concerns to daycare management.

(No childcare supervision duties — this role focuses solely on facility cleaning.)

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday

  • 2 hours per day (3pm to 5pm)

  • Fixed shift

Qualifications

  • Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred but not required.

  • Ability to work independently and reliably.

  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

  • Must be able to handle light physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting).

  • Police background check may be requested (as we are a licensed daycare center).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly wage: $20/hour
