North-Wood Group of Companies is a leading contracting and environmental company providing exceptional services to our clients.

We are looking for personable, hard-working, and physically capable person to join us as a HydroVac Driver Operator.

Location: Based out of Kamloops

You will be reporting directly to the Owner of Ironmule Trucking.

Skills Required:

  • Committed to safety
  • Able to listen, communicate and take direction
  • Able to work individually and as a team
  • Detail orientated with strong interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, work out of town and overtime as required is preferred
  • HydroVac truck experience and heavy-duty equipment operator would be an asset

Duties include:

  • Safe and efficient operation of Class 3 vehicles including but not limited to HydroVac Trucks, Vacuum Trucks and Water Trucks.
  • Performs daily safety and maintenance checks including oil fluids and greasing
  • Able work in a variety of different weather conditions
  • Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation
  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs including offloading and loading at customer sites
  • Other duties as required requested by the Owner

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of Class 3 driving experience and a clean driving record
  • Minimum 2 years of HydroVac Truck experience
  • Railway experience
  • Mountain and winter driving experience
  • Work experience in the TDG waste, recycling, or environmental service industry an asset, however not required
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving
  • TDG and WHMIS experience
  • Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's License

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday during our core facility hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm. You will be required to work out of town, come in earlier or stay later depending on needs of the business.

After three months of continuous employment, you have the option to join our full Medical and Dental benefits package and RRSP matching program.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
