Our Demand Side Management (DSM) Commercial Sales team works with our Institutional customers to help them use natural gas more efficiently. We are looking for a motivated, technical individual to join our Sales team serving various sectors within the Institutional group.

As a Sr Advisor Energy Solutions, you will successfully deliver Enbridge's Energy Conservation programs directly to customers and affiliated business partners, through direct management and cultivation of positive working relationships with specific customers and segments, meeting or exceed assigned energy conservation targets.

What You Will Do:

As a key member of Commercial Energy Conservation Sales team, you will:

  • Work independently, able to find, deliver technical solutions and complete custom complex engineering and energy efficiency calculations for Institutional customers (Universities, Colleges, Hospitals, District Energy, Wastewater Treatment Plants, Department of National Defense and Corrections Canada) in the GTA region

  • Deliver Enbridge's Energy Conservation programs directly to customers, affiliated business partners and industry allies (i.e. associations such as OAPPA, CHES, GHC).

  • Meet or exceed individually assigned annual Energy Conservation, DSM, targets in order to provide maximum shareholder value 

  • Self-motivated to meet specified scorecard and offering targets 

  • Develop strong external relationships with customers and business partners to meet program targets, customer needs and protect the Enbridge brand. 

  • Develop strong internal relationships with Program Design, Tech Services and Evaluation to meet performance expectations and internal deadlines

  • Grow positive working relationships with business partner's community (contractors, distributors, wholesalers, equipment manufacturers and consulting engineering firms) that deal with end-use customers on products and services that involve natural gas. 

  • Actively support the path to zero safety incidents, demonstrating safety leadership and ensuring team members put safety first.

  • Accountable to lead internal cross-functional stakeholder, special projects & initiatives in support of the Commercial program strategies and delivery objectives.  

  • Effective use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools (i.e., Guardian, Miller Heiman) to document customer interactions, manage active leads/projects, and support all aspects of DSM audit and evaluation initiatives (i.e., project verification).  

  • Assist in identifying key threats and opportunities in the delivery of the Commercial / Institutional programs for assigned customers. 

  • Provide market intelligence and insights to the internal program design team to assist in the adjustment to current program offerings and the development of future energy conservation programs. 

  • Work cooperatively with team members and cross-boundary colleagues to complete assigned work safely, accurately, and on time while supporting company values and demonstrating key competencies.
     

Who You Are:

You will have the following combination of education and experience:

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related. 

  • 7+ years' experience in energy management, commercial HVAC design, technical sales, and/or B2B sales. 

  • Experience with energy management, demand side management, and sustainability principles. 

  • Exceptional understanding of institutional HVAC systems and design. 

  • Strong technical and analytical aptitude. 

  • Self-motivated, self-starter, and able to operate independently but work with a team of like-minded professionals. 

  • Customer and results focused. 

  • Proven skills in leading and influencing without explicit authority. 

  • Proven time management skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects while managing personal time. 

  • Superior written and verbal communication ability and excellent interpersonal skills. 

  • Confident presenter and public speaker. 

  • Strong relationship-building, problem-solving skills, and negotiation skills. 

  • Valid driver's license with a responsible driving record. 

Preferred:

  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM).

  • Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP).

  • Past experience in the Institutional sector.
