Job Description
Our client works with mining, oil and gas, and forestry companies across Western and Northern Canada, helping them tackle real-world environmental challenges. Their work includes site assessments, spill response, remediation, and regulatory support, along with broader efforts like sustainability planning and emergency management.
They're hiring a Director of Geotechnical Engineering to team up with the VP of Engineering and lead the development of their geotechnical practice.
What You'll Do:
- Build, support, and mentor a skilled and committed team.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, regulators, suppliers, and peers.
- Help grow the firm's reputation in the geotechnical space.
- Work with colleagues in environmental science and consulting to support business development.
- At least 15 years of geotechnical consulting experience.
- Professional Engineer designation.
- A strong commitment to health, safety, and wellness.

- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Deep knowledge of embankment design, slope stability, and geotechnical engineering; dam safety experience is a plus.
