Job Description
Our client works with mining, oil and gas, and forestry companies across Western and Northern Canada, helping them tackle real-world environmental challenges. Their work includes site assessments, spill response, remediation, and regulatory support, along with broader efforts like sustainability planning and emergency management. 

They're hiring a Director of Geotechnical Engineering to team up with the VP of Engineering and lead the development of their geotechnical practice.

What You'll Do:
  • Build, support, and mentor a skilled and committed team.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, regulators, suppliers, and peers.
  • Help grow the firm's reputation in the geotechnical space.
  • Work with colleagues in environmental science and consulting to support business development.
What You'll Bring to the Table
  • At least 15 years of geotechnical consulting experience.
  • Professional Engineer designation.
  • A strong commitment to health, safety, and wellness.

  • Strong organizational skills and a drive for high-quality work.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Deep knowledge of embankment design, slope stability, and geotechnical engineering; dam safety experience is a plus.
  • Solid design, writing and communication abilities.
