Job Title: Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst

Job Description

As a Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst, you will play a key role in process documentation, identifying weaknesses and redundancies, and helping to streamline and standardize processes. You will be responsible for rebuilding robust financial models, designing and developing dynamic reporting templates, and facilitating recurring financial analyses such as feasibilities, project proposals, and profitability analyses. Your expertise in financial modeling and process improvement will be essential in auditing and rebuilding existing models to ensure they are efficient, simple, and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Document processes and understand current workflows.
• Identify process weaknesses and redundancies and propose improvements.
• Rebuild robust financial models and develop reporting templates.
• Design dynamic periodic variance reports, budget/forecast templates, and consolidate financial statements.
• Conduct independent audits of existing models to identify data flows, relationships, sources, conversions, and outputs.
• Use business acumen and process knowledge to streamline and standardize processes.
• Demonstrate understanding of manufacturing operations and P&L to facilitate process understanding and improvement.

Essential Skills

• Excellent financial modeling and process improvement skills.
• Ability to independently audit and rebuild financial models.
• Strong quantitative and financial analysis skills.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling (no VB/Macros).
• Understanding of manufacturing accounting and reporting.
• Prior experience with data mining tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud or Oracle Smart View.
• Knowledge of Onestream and SAP.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with FP&A, financial planning and analysis.
• Skills in scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Experience in financial reporting and database management.
• Proficiency in Power BI, VBA, SQL, forecasting, and budgeting.

This is a Contract position based out of Oakville, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $ $70.00/hr.
