Responsibilities
OVERALL PURPOSE:

This role is responsible for facilitating communication and supporting the adoption of change initiatives by developing and executing effective change management plans to ensure smooth implementation across departments. It coordinates with maintenance teams to prepare and adjust maintenance plans that align with asset management goals and reliability targets, while also supporting data compliance and maintenance business processes through regular reviews and audits. The role includes creating and implementing a data quality assurance system, as well as developing and refining business-critical processes to ensure alignment with long-term asset management strategies. Additionally, the position plays a key role in defining new roles and responsibilities, liaising with departments such as Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain Management to support organization-wide process standardization, with influence extending beyond a single department or function.

Major Responsibilities
Independently plans, adjusts, and leads asset management change initiatives. The role models desired behaviors and encourages change adoption across unionized and non-unionized teams (Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain etc.).

Works with stakeholders and the Asset Management Office (AMO) to gather feedback on change resistance and adjust change management plans accordingly.

Monitors progress and reports on the effectiveness of asset management change initiatives related to compliance of business processes and data inputs.

Ensures alignment between project activities and business priorities during change rollouts.

Works with stakeholders to ensure yearly asset maintenance plans are aligned with finance budgets.

Works with stakeholders to forecast maintenance resource needs (labor, materials, spare parts, contractors) and budget for upcoming maintenance cycles.

Performs audits of both business processes and data quality activities that involve evaluation, oversight, and compliance enforcement.

Exercises independent judgment when identifying process gaps, recommending solutions, and adjusting strategies based on stakeholder feedback. Operates with a high level of autonomy.

Develops and maintains a centralized knowledge repository and drives governance of standard operating procedures.

Acts as a trusted advisor to the Asset Management Office and broader stakeholder groups on issues of compliance,planning, and process alignment.

Leads initiatives that increase efficiency, effectiveness, and cross-functional consistency in business processes.

Based on performance data, identifies and directs asset rehabilitation initiatives to bring poor-performing assets back to desired condition. Provides recommendations to adjust maintenance plans to improve asset performance.

Coordinates training sessions with stakeholder teams, allocates AMO resources, and develops training schedules. Provides guidance to staff in creating, updating, and delivering training materials, support resources, and self-serve web-based systems.

Education
Qualifications
A Diploma in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and training. Formal education in asset management, reliability engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.

Experience
This role requires a minimum of three years' experience in asset management or reliability engineering, with in-depth knowledge of CMMS platforms such as SAP PM, Maximo, EAM, or Infor PS, along with a solid understanding of asset management principles (e.g., ISO and maintenance best practices (e.g., RCM, TPM).

Experience in risk-based maintenance, reliability-centered maintenance, and failure mode analysis is preferred.

Candidates should have intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid skills across Microsoft Office tools including Word, SharePoint, Teams, and other web-based systems.

Advanced knowledge and experience in using technologies such as mobile devices, instruments, computer systems, distributed databases, spatial technologies (GIS), and analytical tools to collect, store, and analyze asset data is essential.

The role also requires the ability to translate business requirements into clear documentation, strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and gain consensus among stakeholders, and practical experience in asset identification, data collection, and documentation to ensure accuracy in asset management.

Experience with mechanical, electrical, and electronic sub-systems would be an asset, while strong coordination, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are critical for success in this position.

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

Work Schedule
40 hours per week.

This position works predominately on-site.

Rate of Pay
Wage: $48.12 per hour

Please note: All new employees will be subject to a 6-week trainee rate at 75% of the hourly rate.
