Role Overview:

Seeking a hands-on Metadata Modeler skilled in data modeling and metadata management concepts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a Metadata Lakehouse for a banking client, integrating and standardizing metadata according to DCAT open standards. The role involves interpreting Collibra metadata models, source schemas, and telemetry/logs to develop unified, enterprise-level metadata models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead metadata modeling initiatives to create and maintain a Metadata Lakehouse aligned with banking data requirements.
  • Interpret and analyze Collibra metadata models, source schemas, and telemetry/log data.
  • Develop and implement unified data models leveraging DCAT open standards for metadata interoperability.
  • Collaborate with data governance, architecture, and engineering teams to ensure metadata integration supports data discovery, lineage, and compliance.
  • Document metadata standards, modeling guidelines, and best practices.
  • Support metadata management processes to enable enterprise-wide data governance.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience in data modeling and metadata management concepts.
  • Familiarity with DCAT (Data Catalog Vocabulary) open standards and metadata interoperability frameworks.
  • Experience working with Collibra or equivalent metadata management tools.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and map source data schemas and telemetry/log files.
