Bannister Honda Vernon is hiring an experienced Automotive Technician, 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice, or Red Seal Journeyman Technician to join our professional dealership service department. Automotive Technician Pay & Benefits:

Automotive Technician Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and service vehicles according to Honda manufacturer standards

  • Perform automotive repairs including engines, transmissions, electrical, and drivability systems

  • Complete routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake service, inspections, and tire rotations

  • Use diagnostic software, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and efficiently

  • Read and interpret automotive schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals

  • Conduct vehicle inspections to meet safety and compliance standards

  • Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation

  • Work collaboratively with service advisors and technicians to resolve complex repairs

  • Follow dealership safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment

Automotive Technician Qualifications:

  • Red Seal Automotive Technician or Registered 3rd/4th Year Automotive Apprentice

  • Minimum 3 years automotive technician or dealership experience

  • Valid driver's license

  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills

  • Previous Honda or dealership technician experience considered an asset

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and standing for extended periods

  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude

  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced dealership environment
