Join us as an Assistant Corporate Controller and play a key role in shaping the financial future of a dynamic group of companies in the electrical distribution industry.
In this leadership position, you'll partner with the Corporate Controller to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while driving continuous improvement initiatives. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love solving complex challenges, this is your opportunity to make an impact.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with the Corporate Controller to streamline processes, strengthen internal controls, and standardize policies across multiple operating companies.
- Co-lead the consolidated financial reporting process and manage a talented team of accountants.
- Co-drive process improvement initiatives with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Co-manage external tax consultants (Big 4).
- Participate in the preparation of key presentations, including two annual board meetings for the executive team.
- Co-lead the interim and year-end audits.
- Deliver ad hoc analysis and reporting to support strategic decisions.
What You Bring:
- CPA designation with 5-10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP; IFRS experience is an asset.
- Excel and ERP proficiency.
- Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken).
- A proactive, resourceful mindset with the ability to adapt to change and think outside the box.
