Senior Accountant (Full-Time, Permanent)

Location: Guelph, ON

Hybrid/Remote/On-Site business model

Our client is currently seeking a
Senior Accountant
to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong audit, review, and compilation experience who thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing
audit, review, and notice-to-reader working paper files
, and working closely with engagement partners to ensure engagements are completed efficiently, profitably, and in line with professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:


• Work with clients across various industries, providing advice and recommendations on financial and business matters


• Plan, review, and complete compilation, review, and audit engagements, including financial statement note disclosures


• Prepare and revise personal and corporate tax returns, and complete statutory filings (GST/HST, T4/T5, elections, etc.)


• Analyze financial information for short- and long-term planning


• Supervise and train staff accountants, supporting their development


• Identify issues and recommend effective solutions


• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams

Qualifications


• Successful completion of the
CFE


• Minimum
2 years of experience
in public accounting


• Knowledge of
industry-specific software


• Strong communication, problem-solving, time management, and professional judgment skills

Working Conditions


• Tight deadlines and occasional extended hours, especially during
busy season (Jan–Apr)


• Office setting with potential travel within Ontario
