Job Title: Local SEO Manager

We're looking for a strategic and data-driven 
SEO Manager
 to lead our search engine optimization initiatives and drive organic growth across all digital channels. The ideal candidate is both an analytical thinker and a creative problem solver, someone who can develop, implement, and optimize SEO strategies that improve visibility, traffic, and conversion rates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies (on-page, off-page, and technical) to increase organic search visibility and rankings.
  • Keyword & question research
    : Expand traditional keyword research into question, task, and "jobs‑to‑be‑done" research using SERP features, PAA, forums, site search, and support logs.
  • Content strategy for answers
     (Q&A, how‑tos, definitions, data tables, sources). Collaborate with content, design, and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented across new and existing web pages.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics (traffic, rankings, CTR, conversions) and provide actionable insights.
  • Backlink/Digital PR
     with emphasis on quality and originality. Manage and optimize link-building strategies, ensuring high-quality and relevant backlinks.
  • Stay up to date with search engine algorithms, industry trends, and emerging SEO tools and technologies.
  • Oversee local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization
  • Manage SEO tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog).
  • Prepare and present regular SEO performance reports to key stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior team members or an external SEO specialist.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):
     Use analytics and session data to find friction and report lift on key conversions from SEO/GEO traffic.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in a fast-paced digital environment.
  • Proven track record of improving organic rankings and driving measurable growth.
  • Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and technical SEO fundamentals.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools: Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.
  • Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress).
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and website architecture best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities to prove that lead comes from organic not paid ads

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with content marketing and keyword-driven content strategies.
  • Familiarity with schema markup, Core Web Vitals, and site speed optimization.
  • Knowledge of PPC and broader digital marketing strategies.
  • Tracking & Reporting (Good with Numbers)
  • Google Sheets ninja
     (ARRAYFORMULA, REGEX, QUERY, IMPORTRANGE—fast and clean)
  • Daily AI user
     (ChatGPT as a multiplier for research, drafting, QA, and ops)
  • Proven leadership
    —you've led people, programs, and clients to measurable wins
