Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RVT to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to our animal patients while assisting veterinarians in various medical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure that our clinic operates smoothly and that our furry clients receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals before, during, and after procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
- Prepare animals for surgery by ensuring they are properly anesthetized and monitored.
- Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and animal care practices.
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures and diagnostics.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners.
- Team player with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
