Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Seasonal Lawn Care Laborer to join our outdoor maintenance team. This physically demanding role involves working in various outdoor conditions to maintain residential and commercial properties. The successful candidate will perform a range of landscaping and groundskeeping tasks, ensuring all properties are kept to a high standard. Key Responsibilities
- Lawn Maintenance: Cut grass, rake and collect refuse, aerate, and dethatch lawns using power mowers and other equipment.
- Plant Care: Weed gardens, prune shrubs and trees, and water plants and lawns as directed.
- Property Upkeep: Spread topsoil, lay sod, plant flowers, shrubs, and trees to assist with landscape construction and maintenance.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and chainsaws (if certified/experienced).
- General Duties: Remove litter and garbage from work sites, and perform other manual duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or a related field is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Physical Ability: Must be physically fit and able to handle heavy loads (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks like bending, crouching, and kneeling in various weather conditions.
- Licensing: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record may be required for operating company vehicles.
- Personal Suitability: We are looking for dependable, organized, and safety-conscious team players with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Safety: Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards is an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $16.83-$22.32 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
