Job Overview:

This is a short-term 3 Month Internship Contract, 40 hour work week, Mon - Fri 9 am - 5 pm. This is an onsite role.

We are seeking a passionate Engineering Lab Tech to support our engineering team in the development, testing and validation of lighting products and sensors. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, hands-on experience with lab equipment, and a passion for problem-solving. This role is critical to ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of our products

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the evaluation of new products.
  • Perform and document electrical testing, installation, and sensor functions of products
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with new and existing products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define technical requirements and solutions.
  • Evaluate products as it relates to all safety standards.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve technical expertise and contribute to innovation.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized lab environment.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience as an engineer or lab tech, lighting industry experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communications (verbal & written)
  • Proficiency with lab equipment such as multimeters, thermal testers, and data acquisition systems
  • Solutions oriented
  • Passionate about lighting industry
