Job Summary

Steamworks North Shore is looking for a Restaurant Line Cooks and Prep Cooks to join our opening kitchen team. This unique opportunity involves making amazing dishes in a fast pace and high quality restaurant. We are looking for a dynamic kitchen team members that will facilitate a fun, organized, spotless kitchen that produces amazing food. The Restaurant Team members must have a great positive attitude to work with both Front of house and Kitchen Team members to ensure our guests have the best possible experience every time they visit us.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Line Cooking
  • Prepping in house made items and portioning items
  • Make sure all items are executed correctly
  • Execute private event menus
  • Strong food knowledge and education
  • May be required to help with inventory, counts and ordering
  • Aid the kitchen with being held to the highest health and sanitation standards at all times

Education and Experience Required

  • Food Safe Certification
  • Experience in a kitchen
  • First Aid Level 1 (an asset)

Other Required Skills

  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to be self-directed and solve problems
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate in English both orally and written

Compensation

  • Agreed hired wage
  • Bi-Weekly Cash Gratuities
  • $5 Kitchen Meals
