Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations on the construction site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Provide safety training and toolbox talks to site personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety documentation and incident reports.
  • Respond promptly to any safety concerns or emergencies.
  • Collaborate with site management to implement and monitor safety protocols.
  • Assist with incident investigations and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Construction Safety Officer (CSO).
  • Valid CSO certification recognized in British Columbia.
  • Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and safety best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • High attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
