Position: Full -Time Lead Hand Security Guard
Site: Welland Hospital, 65 Third St, Welland, ON L3B 4W6
Hours: Continental Nights (2000 to 0800 hrs)
Payrate: $22.91/hr.

Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement after 88 Hours

Essential Job Functions:

Ensures all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out as required for each shiftEnsures site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and site security policies and proceduresPlans and implements shift work schedulesEnsures all Security Guards have received the mandatory trainingAttendance ManagementPerforms security auditsDocuments and investigates security incidents and complaintsProvide proactive and reactive security patrols.Communicates any concerns/issues with Client Service ManagerAny additional duties and assignments can be requested.

Requirements:

A Valid Ontario Security Guard LicenseProficient in English (both oral and written)Degree in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services would be an assetPrevious one year experience in healthcare security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.Proof of double Covid VaccinationImmunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2)Valid First Aid and CPR Level C CertificationAble to provide a clean shaven face in order to pass a N95 mask fit testMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionLegally authorized to work in Canada

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
