HCR Permanent Search is working with a top-tier manufacturer specializing in custom metal fabrication for heavy-duty industrial applications. They are searching for a
Program Manager
to oversee projects from initial launch through to final production.

Work Setting:
On Site

Location Details: Guelph

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 6 years of experience working for a manufacturing company
  • 2 years of experience as a Program Manager working for a company that has CNC Machining processes. Preference for someone who has experience working in a custom metal machining shop.
  • Proven background in managing multiple projects involving CNC Machining
  • Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering; P.Eng designation is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of process optimization, and quality control in a CNC Machining environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end project management for custom-built heavy machinery.
  • Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, design, and manufacturing.
  • Manage technical documentation, engineering changes, project milestones, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement work instructions, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Promote continuous improvement in welding and fabrication processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and ensure all certifications, especially welding-related, are current.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to internal engineering and manufacturing teams.
