Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)

CareKW is growing and looking to expand in Guelph, ON. We are recruiting RNs and RPNs to provide support to patients in a facility environment. 

CareKW is focused on creating a team of qualified individuals to enhance the health of the community and our clients. We are open to Nurses with a variety of backgrounds and training expertise.

Shift Details:

Location: Kitchener

Shift timing: 3PM - 11PM

Pay Range: $ $37.95 per Hour

We are searching for candidates that would be available for:

Evening shifts (3PM-11PM)Should be available every other weekend

Responsibilities:

Supervise activities of daily living and provide direction to the Personal Support Workers on the unit.Implement nursing care as outlined in the patient specific care plan.Communicate patient care needs and changes in patient status to the unit supervisor/Director of NursingProvide direct patient care as outlined in the patient's care plan including but not limited to administration of medication, completion of treatments, and patient teaching related to care needs.Complete patient admissionEncourage active participation of patients in therapy programs and recreational activities.Liaise with physicians and other members of the interprofessional care team to ensure resident care needs are metPractice within the scope of practice set out by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

Role Requirements:

Current registration with the CNO, candidate must be in good standingValid work/study permit (if applicable)Current CPR/First Aid CertificationComplete immunization record (MMR, TDAP, Varicella, Hep B)Clean Vulnerable Sector Screen (within 3 months of hire)Strong documentation and clinical skillsHigh level of interpersonal skillsAccess to a vehicle is considered an asset While we thank all applicants that apply, only qualified candidates will be contacted for interviews.
