At Pallet Coffee Roasters, we aim to make specialty coffee approachable and share our love of good coffee with the help of our passionate, knowledgeable team.

We're currently hiring an experienced and reliable barista for a part-time position at our Kingsway location.

This role requires availability both on weekdays and weekends.

What you'll need:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience preparing and serving coffee (preferred).
  • Knowledge of the specialty coffee sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service and excellent communication skills (required).
  • Ability to perform daily bar opening and coffee dial in duties (required) ; ongoing training will be provided.
  • Know how to operate an espresso machine, including grinding, dosing, and tamping. (required)
  • Know how to steam milk to the correct temperature and texture for various espresso-based drinks. (required)
  • Be skilled in latte-art (heart and rosetta are required)
  • Be familiar with various brewing methods (espresso, pour-over, drip..) (required)
  • Ability to thrive when faced with new challenges and keep calm under pressure.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
  • A true passion to learn and grow.
  • Be a punctual and reliable team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • FoodSafe level 1 (preferred)
