Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Swastika, ON, for a skilled Water Treatment Operator. The role involves operating, monitoring, and maintaining water and wastewater treatment systems, managing plant operations, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Tasks include overseeing pump stations, maintaining process control, and providing troubleshooting and maintenance assistance for equipment. The operator will ensure safe and efficient operations while prioritizing environmental and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Plant Operations and overseeing daily functions of treatment facilities
  • Proficiency in Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment processes, including regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge of Process Control to optimize treatment systems and ensure efficiency
  • Experience in managing and maintaining Pump Stations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify, analyze, and resolve operational issues
  • Valid water and/or wastewater certification as per provincial requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an on-site environment
  • Previous experience in the utilities or waste management sector is an asset
