Job Summary

REQUIRING ONE PERSON in the STILLWATER LAKE area

SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS, 8am to 8:30pm (Total 25 hours per week)

$22 and hour plus kilometre reimbursement.

Inclusive Care Access Network is seeking compassionate and dedicated Respite Workers to provide quality care and support to individuals with disabilities. As a Respite Worker, you will assist clients with daily activities, engage them in community activities of their choice, promote independence, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized care and companionship to individuals with disabilities.
  • Learn the preferences and desires of the person you are supporting, and seek community activities and experiences that they choose to take part in.
  • Engage clients in recreational and social activities to enhance their well-being.
  • Implement care plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
  • Monitor and document client progress and communicate observations to families and supervisors.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients.
  • Transport clients to and from community activities (if required).

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred, but not required.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid driver's license, clear driver's abstract and reliable transportation is an asset.
  • Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks are required.
  • NVCIS/MANDT or willingness to obtain
