Position Overview:
Forbes Bros Ltd. is seeking an experienced Hydrovac Operator (full-time, permanent). This role will require some travel to project/work sites. The Hydrovac Operator will require successful candidates to safely operate and maintain Vacuum/Hydrovac trucks as required at multiple projects and work sites. The ideal candidate would possess working experience operating Vacuum/Hydrovac trucks in addition to experience within the construction industry. This role requires adherence to safety protocols and policies, equipment maintenance, and working in various weather conditions and environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromises on safety in all aspects of our every day Responsible for preforming pre & post trip inspections, roadside repairs, and general clean-up of unitsDrives and operators hydrovac units to complete tasks associated with daylighting, excavation, trenching & shortingRigging in and rigging out of equipment, hoses, fittings, pipes, etc., as per job specificationComplete all required paperwork dailyProvide hands-on assistance to crew members as requiredRead and understand drawings & making calculations and adjustments in gradesPerform other tasks related to this function as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

Class 3 driver's license with airbrake endorsement, is requiredGeneral knowledge of the principals involved in the operation of construction, boring/directional drilling and underground utilities considered an assetConstruction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) certification, an assetGround Disturbance Level II, an assetAbility to work in field/site with travel and work hour flexibility to accommodate to remote/site work schedule Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy liftingAble and willing to present an acceptable five (5) year drivers abstract
