Job Description
Looking for a chance to make your mark in a fast-paced, professional, and fun environment? As the successful candidate you will be responsible for responsible for supporting the end-to-end acquisition process for both the Skyline Industrial and Retail REITs. This role is responsible for researching information and interpreting data to support transaction negotiations, as well as conducting due diligence. This role will also assist with financial evaluations and will collaborate cross-functionally with internal accounting, Property Management, and Construction teams as necessary when supporting closing and transactions.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Supporting the REIT's leadership teams engagements with industrial and retail real estate brokers, landlords and developers to identify new acquisition prospects.
  • Collaborating and support industrial and retail acquisitions, including underwriting, financial modeling and risk assessments.
  • Assisting with Letters of Intent (LOI) by researching key business terms and providing support with negotiations as required.
  • Performing on-site property inspections and conduct tours to evaluate physical asset conditions and market positioning.
  • Reviewing and synthesizing findings into formal written recommendations and with the support of leadership, prepare comprehensive acquisitions reports.
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of legal and closing documents, including Agreements of Purchase and Sale.
  • Reviewing prospective development projects and provide support for the associated financial analysis and feasibility studies as required.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Economics, Math, Accounting or other related University education required.
  • Related experience on a real estate acquisitions team would be beneficial.
  • Knowledgeable in database management, researching skills and proficiency in MS Excel.
  • An understanding of real estate valuation and finance;
  • Ability to conduct detailed financial analysis.
  • Capable of operating under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of general building construction and its components.
