We are looking for a weekender to join our team

We opened Summer 2025, Squamish Canyon will be a world-class destination offering a breathtaking canyon walkway and immersive forest experience in the spectacular Sea to Sky Corridor. We are building a passionate team committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences — and maintaining a pristine, welcoming environment is key to our success.

We are currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Cleaning Crew to join our opening team.

About the Role

As a Cleaner, you will play an essential role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and beauty of all public spaces throughout Squamish Canyon. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and inviting environment will help shape the first and lasting impressions of our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Perform daily janitorial duties according to the assigned schedule.

  • Tidy, vacuum, sweep, and mop all public areas including offices, bathrooms, boardwalks, and outdoor spaces.

  • Thoroughly clean, sanitize, and restock bathrooms to maintain guest and staff comfort.

Safety & Reporting

  • Practice safe work procedures at all times and immediately rectify and/or report any safety hazards.

  • Change garbage and recycling bins daily and maintain waste management areas.

  • Report any maintenance or supply issues promptly to your supervisor.

Team Support

  • Assist with additional tasks around Squamish Canyon as needed to support smooth operations.

  • Contribute positively to a team environment focused on safety, cleanliness, and hospitality.

Qualifications

  • Strong sense of discretion, honesty, and attention to detail.

  • Highly motivated to create a safe, clean, and well-organized environment for guests and staff.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Reliable, punctual, and consistent in attendance and performance.

  • Professional appearance with good personal hygiene.

  • Physically capable of lifting, moving, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds.

  • Able to work on your feet for extended periods, including bending, crouching, and kneeling. (This is a physically demanding role.)

  • WHMIS certification (preferred but not mandatory)

Work Conditions

  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, mornings, evenings, and holidays.

  • Primarily indoor work, with occasional duties in outdoor areas, subject to varying weather conditions.

  • Physical stamina is required for standing, walking, lifting, and performing manual tasks for long periods.

  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment usage is part of daily responsibilities.
