Nick Day Design is a custom woodshop specializing in high-end residential cabinetry and furniture. Our projects include custom millwork, furniture and a collection of solid wood furniture. Seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our team, ideally looking for someone with Installation experience, as well.

An ideal candidate will be:

  • Skilled woodworker with at least 3-5 years of employment experience in a woodshop. Must be capable of working independently
  • Installation experience would be a major asset
  • Able to read shop drawings, make cut lists and problem solve fabrication methods
  • Experience working with a range of materials (wood veneers, solid wood, MDF, melamine). Specific experience and interest in working with solid woods is an asset.
  • Familiar with standard cabinet and furniture construction and hardware
  • Comfortable working with tools and machinery in a safe manner
  • Detail-oriented and takes pride in their work
  • Dynamic, adaptable skill base
  • Good attitude and a team player
