Pricing Analysist

We are hiring a Pricing Analyst/RFP Specialist on a contract bases to support pricing strategy, business development, RFP response development, and sales proposals with a focus on candidates who bring cryogenics industry experience.

The Pricing Analyst / RFP Specialist will play a key role in pricing strategy, proposal development including RFP responses, business presentations, and daily pricing activities such as quoting. This role requires experience with industrial gas or cryogenics products, particularly liquid nitrogen and carbon dioxide. The ability to prepare competitive pricing for bids and proposals. Previous exposure to supply chain platforms such as Avetta and Ariba is highly desirable.

Work Schedule:

This is a contract position. Work hours are variable and will fluctuate based on business requirements, RFP deadlines, proposal activity, and day to day quoting needs. While there is no fixed schedule, your time will be coordinated with the President to support key deliverables and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

RFP & Proposal Leadership

• Lead pricing and cost analysis for RFP responses, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with submission requirements.
• Coordinate pricing inputs from Operations, Estimating, Finance and Business Development for formal proposals and bids.
• Prepare executive‑ready pricing content and presentation materials for internal review and customer engagements.

Cryogenics Commercial Knowledge

• Apply understanding of cryogenic products and industry practices, including handling, storage, and logistics for liquid nitrogen and carbon dioxide, to pricing, proposals, and customer interactions.

Sales Pricing & Quotations

• Prepare accurate, timely quotes for customer requests and support Sales.
• Monitor quote status and track conversion results, updating stakeholders.

Business Presentations

• Develop and deliver clear, professional presentations related to pricing proposals, commercial recommendations, and RFP results to internal leadership and external clients.

Market & Financial Analysis

• Conduct market, competitor, and cost analysis to support pricing decisions and identify opportunities.
• Maintain pricing models, databases, and tools to ensure consistency, accuracy, and transparency.

Platform Access & Submissions

• Utilize Avetta and Ariba (or similar systems) to prepare and submit formal proposals, manage certifications and compliance pre‑qualifications, and support procurement workflows.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree - Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency with Excel and pricing tools.
• Experience supporting RFP pricing, proposal preparation, or commercial bid analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with pricing workflows, quote management, and business presentations.

Preferred:

• 3+ years experience in the cryogenics or industrial gases sector, including familiarity with products such as liquid nitrogen and carbon dioxide, and their associated commercial considerations in pricing, storage, transport, or safety.
• Experience using Avetta and Ariba platforms.
• Experience working with Sales and Operations in cross‑functional environments.
