Context:
To continue IKOS's growth in Canada, we are recruiting a
Project Management Officer
keen to take part in our missions in
Quebec
with regard to railway project development. As the
PMO
, you will
lead a team of engineers, ensuring timely project delivery, coordination across stakeholders, compliance with customer requirements, contractual documents, applicable rules and regulations, and company procedures
. If you have relevant engineering and project management experience and knowledge of the railway industry and applicable systems, we look forward to connecting with you.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee
Systems Engineering activities
for railway project implementation (e.g., signaling, controls, communication, track, power). - Lead the team as the primary point of coordination between the project team and external stakeholders to ensure alignment across all project activities.
- Build and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with technical and contractual objectives.
- Oversee the completion of all deliverables and project requirements compliance.
- Financial management
of the project scope. - Monitor project timelines and milestones, identifying risks and proposing corrective actions.
- Contribute technical expertise and judgment to support decision-making at the project level.
- Deliver clear, structured reporting and proactively identify, escalate, and resolve project risks and challenges.
- Manage a small team for
project management
activities.
We'd love you to apply if:
- You hold a Bachelor's and/or master's degree in science or any technical Engineering field.
- You speak French and English at a working proficiency level (French is mandatory)
- You have a minimum of
10 years
of applicable experience (
railway engineering
and
PMO
). - Previous experience with
tramway
systems (mandatory) - You are detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- You are proactive, responsible, and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You are a team player, curious, and motivated.
Good to have:
- Familiarity with planning tools (
Primavera
,
MS Project
, etc.). - Knowledge or passion for railway systems and sustainable transport.
