Job Overview

Assistant Service Managers are responsible for supporting the Service Manager in many of the daily duties of the operations and provides leadership and direction to the front of house staff while ensuring the guest experience from beginning to end is exceptional and memorable while exhibiting customer service, product knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion.

Job Responsibilities:

Staff Management

• Training and supervise FOH team members including conducting regular training sessions and meeting.
• Schedule weekly FOH shifts and meeting actual weekly labour percentage target.
• Ensuring all FOH staffs are meeting daily goals.
• Act as a liaison between team members and management.
• Advise management with any employee members' performance issues.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new employees.

Customer Service

• Address in-person or non-in-person customer complaints and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Foster a welcoming and positive atmosphere for all guests.
• Maintain an 4.8% Average on ReviewTrackers.

Quality Control and Cleanliness

• Conduct regular inspections of the dining area and including organizations of service and storage stations.
• Conduct regular Secret Shopper internal evaluation once every 3 weeks and provide feedback accordingly.
• Implementation of cleaning duties to be followed through on a weekly basis.
• Weekly management checklist to be completed on DailyChex.

Qualifications

[Experience]

• Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience required
• Supervisory experience is an asset
• Secondary School Education or equivalent proven and related work experience
• Responsible Alcohol Service certifications is required (i.e. Smart Serve)

[Skills & Qualifications]

• Strong communication skills in English; Japanese and French are considered an asset
• Positive attitude and excellent customer-oriented approach
• Energetic – ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team player – assist in a positive guest experience however necessary

Hours of Work

• Full time position- must be available to work a minimum of 32 hours
• Ability to work flexible shifts- mornings, days, evenings, weekends, holidays

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an

employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires

standing for up to 8 hours per shift, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing all day.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,

peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position also requires lifting up

to 25lbs from floor to waist, waist to shoulder and shoulder to above head. This position also

required twisting, turning, and reaching.
