We are a leading research and manufacturing company for natural health products such as botanical extracts, dietary supplements, vitamins and minerals. Our state-of-the-art facility is located in Metro Vancouver, B.C. We dedicate our research and development efforts into the analytical methods of accurate identification and quantification for Natural Health Products. We have the capacity to formulate and manufacture natural health products directly from raw materials into various types of products. Our manufacturing service includes capsules, tablets, liquids and powder products, soft gels and granules.

We are looking for: Research Scientist – Pharmaceutical & Analytical Chemistry

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $3,400.00-$4,000.00 per month

Job Description:

  • Perform QC testing with a strong focus on HPLC and assess data against pre-determined specifications on raw materials, in-process samples, and final products.
  • Follow safe work and laboratory practices, including cleaning lab glassware, equipment use and preventative maintenance, sample handling, and archiving.
  • Report and participate in laboratory and product excursion investigations such as alert, action, out-of-specification (OOS), out-of-trend (OOT), and non-conformance investigations (NCI).
  • Participate in process improvement by supporting system enhancements.
  • Write and revise quality control methods, standard operating procedures (SOPs). Help maintain reference standards and their records, participate in product specification revisions.
  • Learn and perform preventative maintenance and calibration activities for laboratory and production equipment.
  • Participate in validation or technical document activities.
  • Follow and adhere to all given instructions, including work procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Strictly adhere to and observe all safety policies as outlined in the company policies and training sessions.

Requirements:.

  • Bachelor's degree in a science discipline.
  • PhD
  • Minimum 2 years' experience operating and maintaining lab equipment and instrumentation, particularly HPLC.
  • ISO 17025
  • Gas chromatography (GC) Testing
  • Experience in an analytical laboratory setting is an asset.
  • Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.
