Job Summary

The Child Care Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the childcare facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This leadership role involves managing staff, developing programs, and maintaining compliance with licensing standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children and individuals with disabilities.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise teaching staff to deliver high-quality childcare services
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote learning and development
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care by adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and community partners
  • Coordinate staff schedules, training, and professional development opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records related to children's progress, attendance, and licensing compliance
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new staff members
  • Monitor classroom environments to ensure they are engaging, inclusive, and conducive to learning
  • Collaborate with families to support children's individual needs and developmental goals

Experience

  • Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or similar setting
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and care for young children in a group setting
  • Strong background in caregiving roles within early childhood programs
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing staff or teams in a childcare environment
  • Knowledge of licensing requirements and best practices in early childhood education is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.99-$33.48 per hour

Expected hours: 37 – 40 per week
