As we expand our Ottawa operations, we're looking for a motivated, organized, and people-oriented individual to manage daily office functions while also driving new business growth.

Position Overview

This dual-role position combines office management and sales responsibilities. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day administration of our Ottawa office — including scheduling, client coordination, and staff support — while also identifying and developing new business opportunities within the security sector.

Key Responsibilities

Office Management & Administration

Oversee day-to-day operations of the Ottawa office

Schedule and coordinate deployment of security guards across multiple client sites

Handle client communications, service requests, and issue resolution professionally

Support HR processes including onboarding, timesheets, and employee documentation

Manage payroll submissions, invoicing, and expense tracking

Maintain office inventory (uniforms, equipment, and supplies)

Prepare reports and assist management with compliance and contract documentation

Sales & Business Development

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial, residential, and event security

Conduct site visits and consultations to assess client needs

Develop and maintain strong client relationships and partnerships

Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and presentations

Work closely with management to achieve sales targets and company growth goals

Attend networking events, trade shows, and community functions to promote Hydra Security

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in office management, sales, or business coordination (security or service industry experience is an asset)

Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with scheduling or CRM software an asset

Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently

Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (required for client meetings and site visits)

Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
