Job Description:

We are looking to fill ONE (1) Supply Chain and Logistics Assistant positions to join our team.

This position involves overseeing the entire journey of products, from their starting point to their delivery. This includes managing the movement of goods, covering both inbound logistics, which focuses on bringing materials into the business and outbound logistics, which handles getting products to customers.

We are ONLY looking for applicants with minimum two years experience. Only applicants who meet the specified requirements will be contacted for the next stage of the hiring process.

Major responsibilities for the position:

  • Assist the project team in finding new fabricators and suppliers, particularly in the USA.
  • Assist the project team in negotiating with fabricators and suppliers.
  • Assist and be the lead for paperwork and scheduling logistics, including coordinating with the freight forwarder we hire and managing paperwork to satisfy letters of credit.
  • Assist in entering Purchase orders (in Syspro) and preparing purchase contracts for projects.
  • Spare parts project management.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Prior logistics experience in handling packing lists, commercial invoices, contacting and arranging brokerage, CERS and much more would be an asset.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills: The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is crucial in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail: Accuracy is essential for managing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring all documentation is correct.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Prior experience with Syspro will be considered an asset.
  • Communication skills: Effective communication is needed to liaise with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving: The role often requires adapting to changing circumstances and finding solutions to logistical challenges.

We are conveniently located beside Joyce Skytrain station with bus loops, restaurants, a pharmacy, dental offices, RMTs, and other services in the facility.
