StaffPosition SummaryProvide Workforce Education Instructional team members with leadership and guidance in the delivery of services based on functional area of focus concerning instruction. This position provides consultation and support services for instructional design strategies, assessment, technology, and distributed learning materials for instructional development technologies. Collaboration and communication with academic stakeholders (Vice Provosts, Deans, Dept. Chairs, and faculty), Institutional Effectiveness, and Student Success leaders to review, recommend and revise policies and practices related to instruction. This position supports academic stakeholders, the Academic Incubator, and Workforce and Advancement leaders in identifying and designing appropriate instruments to evaluate students' learning, aligning them with the outcomes and content of Dallas College courses.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesDemonstrate expertise in program and course design principles and development. Proficiency in Instructional Design theories with a solid knowledge of course development software tools.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to pay strict attention to detail and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to identify needs, analyze and logically organize complex information and transform that into professionally designed, engaging and effective training materials.
Experience interviewing and working with subject matter experts in a multi‐disciplinary environment to develop training content.
Ability to work on multiple, complex projects; strong project management skills; with the ability to multi‐task and prioritize projects, assignments, and deliverables.
Maintains an understanding of learning principles and the ability to apply them to the development and delivery of learning experiences.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills, with experience using multiple forms of training delivery methodologies.
Problem‐solving skills, analyzing the issue(s) and work collaboratively with colleagues to resolve issues and implement new solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for developing and implementing strategic organizational effectiveness processes and learning initiatives.
Provides leadership coaching, training, and organizational development to employees.
Conduct need assessments, delivers system‐wide training programs for all staff and assesses effectiveness of training.
Assess and give feedback to identify areas for improvement; proposes changes to existing training and recommends new initiatives for implementation.
Work with colleagues to create new forms and processes that will increase awareness and streamline business protocol.
Follow policies and procedures of the district and organization to meet organizational goals.
Collaborate with staff on multiple projects to review planning, project timelines and set priorities to complete the project and meet the goals and expectations of the organization.
Work collaboratively with faculty and colleagues on the application of instructional technologies, learning and cognition theories, and universal design principles when developing online and hybrid courses.
Analyze instructional needs, provide expertise and assistance with innovative strategies to meet those needs and supports courseware development.
Ensure Dallas College vision and mission are reflected in all aspects of the student learning experience.
Analyze and apply trends in learning technologies and instructional design as well as evaluating and assessing professional publications and technical procedures for future application.
Provide guidance to curriculum committees and faculty in exploring and developing new instructional programs and revising existing curriculum/programs.
Ensure compliance with national, state, district, and team standards for quality, evaluation, alignment, ADA, and legal propriety.
Build relationships with faculty, curriculum committees and textbook publishers by creating a strong sense of mutual respect, explaining roles within the project, and taking the lead in directing processes and procedures.
Demonstrate the initiative to analyze issues as they arise and resolve problems before they derail.
Improve usability within a course, updates assessments to reflect better alignment with core curriculum, and manage the impact of decisions, making changes when necessary.
Lead discussions related to new concepts or strategies needed to solve a business problem.
Interpret policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to training.
Provide engaging interactive and effective training presentation for all diverse employee groups.
Create announcements for the campus‐wide community.
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse internal/external stakeholders and constituents within the community network.
Must complete required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.
