Employees from diverse backgrounds are empowered through engagement, involvement, and growth opportunities in the workplace.LocationChapleau, Ontario2 positions availableSchedule14x14PurposeTo process, compile and interpret a significant amount of geologic information being generated by the Borden exploration efforts. Work with contractors and work effectively and efficiently within the geology team and with other departments.ResponsibilitiesCore Logging and QA/QC Implementation: Conduct detailed geological logging of diamond drill core across multiple exploration sites. Responsible for the selection of core samples and the ongoing implementation and monitoring of QA/QC protocols to ensure data integrity.Exploration Target Generation: Develop and refine exploration concepts and geological models to identify and prioritize new target areas, integrating geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets.Sample Collection Oversight: Monitor all aspects of sample collection, storage, and shipment performed by field technicians, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and maintaining chain-of-custody documentation.Targeting and Drill Planning: Contribute to exploration target selection and drill program design. Prepare drill hole layouts and provide clear guidance to drill crews to ensure accurate collar positioning and orientation.Occasional surface mapping & sampling projectsTraining and EducationBachelor of Science (Geology) degreeMust hold or be eligible to obtain Professional Geologist designation.>2 years of experience in gold exploration is preferredGood interpersonal and communication skills. Innovative and a proven ability to work with others.Working knowledge of the MS Office, and experience in industry-standard digital logging software is an asset.Experience with geological software an asset.Ability to communicate clearly & confidently, on a timely basis.Industry-standard training in First-Aid, WHIMIS is an asset.Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive total compensation package including:Health, Dental, Life, AD&D, Disability, Healthcare and Wellness Spending Accounts, Virtual Care and Employee and Family Assistance Program;Company contributions and matching into a Defined Contribution Pension Plan; andAnnual total compensation of CAD$126,528 to CAD$156,299 (including annual bonus eligibility).Deadline to ApplyFebruary 04, 2026Additional InformationThis posting is for an existing vacancy at Discovery Silver.We thank all candidates in advance.
