Pinchin is looking for a Laboratory Analyst to join our dynamic Asbestos Lab in Mississauga, ON Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate lab analysis and maintaining the highest standards of quality. This position is perfect for detail-oriented professionals with strong microscopy skills and a passion for precision in laboratory work.
A Day in life of a Laboratory Analyst at Pinchin:
- Perform analysis of building materials and insulation samples for asbestos content by Polarized Light Microscopy
- Entering data and preparing reports
- Quality control of samples from both internal and external sources
What You Bring To The Pinchin Team
- Diploma or university degree in a related discipline
- Strong background in laboratory procedures and/or microscopy
- Ability to differentiate the full spectrum of visible colour
- Knowledge of Polarized Light Microscopy and Optical Mineralogy will be considered as asset
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) will be considered an asset
- Be detail-oriented, able to develop and maintain a highly organized work environment, and to effectively prioritize tasks
- Ability to work in a busy environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
