Position Title: Production Associate

Shift: Midnight (12:00 AM - 8:30 AM)

Position Summary

Inspect and assemble product according to Standard Operation Procedure and Customer Specifications. Pack product into prescribed packaging as per instructions.

  • Essential Functions
  • Inspect all products visually according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and rework/assemble parts as needed.
  • Pack the correct number of parts in the prescribed bin or alternative packaging.
  • Apply the correct identification label to bins or packaging and stack according to customer specifications.
  • Set up workstation during mold/colour changes, including secondary equipment, component, and packaging adjustments.
  • Remove scrap from the workstation at the end of runs or mold/colour changes.
  • Notify Technical Staff of upcoming mold/colour changes via paging system when 90 pieces remain.
  • Set aside parts that don't meet specifications and check with the Injection Supervisor or Quality Inspector for acceptable limits.
  • Report quality concerns or scrap over 10 pieces to Injection Supervisor or Technical Staff.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the Injection Supervisor, Assistant Manager/Manager, or Process Technician.
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts as needed.
  • Audit finished products to ensure quality standards.
  • Perform duties of absent associates within the department.
  • Cover breaks for associates at injection machines.
  • Sort products to check for defects.
  • Participate in team problem-solving and preventive/corrective actions, including 5Ps and WHY-WHY analysis, as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong mental and visual alertness to identify quality changes in product.
  • Colour proficiency and manual dexterity required.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
