We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Clerical Support Associate to join our Biomedical Technology Department.

Employment Status: Permanent Part Time
Duration (if contract): NA

Hours of work: Must be able to work all rotating shifts (8:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday to Friday) - subject to change as per Article 3 – Management Rights.

Reporting Relationship: Manager, Biomedical Technology

Position Responsibilities:

Responsible for clerical support including order entry, maintaining St. Croix and RTLS database, tracking work orders, generating POs and reconciling invoices, tracking repairs and statisticsResponsible for customer service including scheduling appointments and Vendors services calls, answering customer inquiries, telephone inquiries, greeting visitors and vendors in a courteous manner.Completes payroll, schedule changes and staff meeting minutesCommunicates with other departments and service areasFiles and organizes Department's orders and QFMs  Other related duties as required

Qualifications:

Must be a High school graduate or equivalent.Completion of a Community College Medical Secretary Diploma an asset.Completion of a medical terminology course preferred. Minimum 2 year full time equivalent recent clerical experience required, preferably in a health care setting.Good keyboarding skills, with minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite.Strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written MEDITECH computer experience an assetGood organizational and problem solving skills required, including an ability to prioritize a varied and busy workload. Demonstrated ability to cope with tight deadlines, frequent interruptions and emergency situations Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environmentKnowledge of a second language an assetDemonstrated customer service skills. Reliable, consistent attendance is a requirement
