Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a talent for grooming, ensuring pets look and feel their best. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment where customer satisfaction and animal care are top priorities. Prior experience in grooming or pet care is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate. Applicants should be committed to providing excellent service and maintaining a safe, clean workspace.

Duties

  • Bathe, dry, and brush pets to prepare them for grooming
  • Trim fur, nails, and other grooming tasks according to breed standards or customer requests
  • Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and work area
  • Monitor pets during grooming for signs of distress or health issues
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences and aftercare instructions
  • Handle pets gently and securely, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and managing client records as needed

Skills

  • Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and clients
  • Ability to handle animals gently while performing grooming tasks
  • Physical stamina for heavy lifting of pets and equipment, as well as standing for extended periods
  • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming standards are met
  • Good communication skills for understanding client requests and providing updates on pet care
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on industry best practices
