What you can expect to do here:
- Design and deliver water and wastewater infrastructure projects, contributing to all technical phases from concept to construction.
- Provide technical design support for infrastructure design including sanitary sewers, water mains, site layout, utility layout, grading, cut and fill (site optimization) and drainage.
- Prepare precise engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates to ensure project quality and compliance.
- Support field investigations and construction inspections, providing timely technical solutions and responding to site queries.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in client meetings to achieve seamless, high-quality project outcomes.
- Assist project managers in tracking progress, schedules, and deliverables, proactively identifying and resolving challenges.
- Contribute to proposal development and internal quality reviews, helping secure new business and maintain technical excellence.
- Grow your expertise through active learning, mentorship, and engagement in a collaborative, innovative team environment.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from a recognized institution, with E.I.T. or P.Eng. registration in Manitoba (or eligibility).
- 5–8 years' hands-on experience designing municipal water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Experience with hydraulic analysis would be an asset.
- Proficient in Manitoba/Canadian design standards, codes, and approval processes.
- Experience should encompass hydraulic evaluations, conceptual/feasibility studies, preparation of design reports, development of construction drawings and specifications, bidding assistance, and support of office and field-related construction services
- Skilled in preparing detailed tender packages and utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent communicator, adept at both written and verbal interactions in team settings.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a collaborative environment.
