Job Description: Production Team - Mixer

We make cashew based dips and spreads.

Overall Purpose:

This position is a general production team position that includes using large equipment to process raw ingredients into dip. The ability to follow the steps to the recipes using procedures detailed in the production manual while ensuring food safe protocols are maintained.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operating large manufacturing equipment.
• Working alone and as part of a team
• Washing, preparing, and portioning ingredients
• Mixing large batches of product
• Moving and lifting food containers ranging from lbs from one workstation to another
• Washing and cleaning workstations and equipment
• Updating log sheets per quality assurance instructions
• Simple math and english essential

Working Conditions:

Requires standing for extended periods, repetitive movements and the ability to bend, and lift frequently.

Employment Requirements:

Knowledge:

• Food Safety protocols
• Food process experience an asset

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read and understand production sheets, and follow recipes and other

instructions with minimum supervision

• Ability to do basic math calculations
• Ability to communicate well with others
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with speed and accuracy
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to read and write in English

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

• Completion of high school an asset
• Possession of a valid Food Safe 1 Certificate an asset

Experience:

• One year or more of experience working in a food production position is an asset

Other:

• No nut allergies (our products are made from nuts)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50-$23.00 per hour
