About The Team
As the Senior Manager of Brand Marketing, you'll lead all brand marketing efforts in Canada. You'll be the architect of Turo's Canadian brand programs—transforming how millions of Canadians think about car rentals while building Turo into a beloved, household name. You'll be responsible for driving brand awareness, consideration, and adoption from coast to coast.
You'll balance big-picture brand strategy with hands-on execution, crafting breakthrough brand programs that capture national attention and convert into tangible business results. As the head of brand marketing in Canada, you'll own our complete brand ecosystem; including, brand strategy, campaigns, influencers, social media, PR, content, and creative development, and reporting.
You'll collaborate with global teams to ensure brand consistency and relevance across all channels while ensuring everything feels authentically Canadian. This role offers massive potential for impact—your vision and execution will directly shape Turo's trajectory in one of our fastest-growing markets.
You're someone with a proven track record of building brands that matter and developing integrated brand programs that move the needle. You're a strategic brand thinker and creative executor with an eye for design and flair for storytelling.
What You Will Do
- Help refine and own Canada's brand strategy across all channels. You'll partner closely with the global brand team to craft compelling positioning and messaging that resonates with Canadian travelers.
- Own and report on Canadian brand health metrics, set targets, and deploy budget across your brand channels to maximize impact.
- Conduct ongoing competitive/customer research to uncover actionable insights that underpin our brand strategy and campaigns.
- Develop annual roadmaps and strategic plans that deliver against brand targets while aligning cross-functional teams
- Architect breakthrough, integrated campaigns that capture attention and drive measurable business results. You'll own everything from strategy to launch; setting clear objectives, driving creative execution, allocating budgets across channels, and measuring impact.
- Drive high-impact media execution across TV, digital, out-of-home, social, and audio to amplify Turo's presence and ensure every dollar drives maximum reach.
- Lead our earned media strategy and own PR metrics. Overseeing our PR agencies you'll help secure breakthrough national coverage that transforms Turo into Canada's go-to rental choice.
- Transform Turo Canada's social presence into a powerful growth engine through compelling content, authentic community building, and strategic brand storytelling.
- Forge strategic alliances with top-tier brands, influencers, and key ambassadors to expand Turo's reach, credibility, and brand affinity.
- Capitalize on cultural moments and seasonal trends to create buzz-worthy campaigns that embed Turo into Canadian conversations.
- Orchestrate game-changing product launches and market expansion campaigns that generate excitement and drive rapid adoption of new product offerings.
- Manage creative workflows and creative output while coordinating internal and external creative teams & freelancers. Work closely with the global marketing team to ensure brand consistency across and local relevancy
- Build and lead a high-performing brand marketing team while fostering a collaborative culture and coaching team members
Your profile
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (business/marketing)
- At least 7+ years of experience in brand management and marketing, you have 4+ years in-house driving brand channels in a customer facing B2C brand.
- Driven measurable brand lift and business impact at scale.
- Proven experience strategizing, planning, and executing integrated brand campaigns. You can take a campaign from brief to execution, setting targets, developing creative concepts, and building channel strategies to hit your brand goals.
- Ample examples of building campaigns that are built on deep customer insights and drive meaningful business results.
- Managed and scaled 'always-on' brand channels including PR, Social, and Influencers - and have the results to show for it.
- Master storyteller: You can craft a compelling narrative across different channels - you know how to match the message to the medium.
- Experience leading a creative team or supporting creative execution.
- Ability to think strategically and conceptualize creatively.
- A natural flare for the unique, the buzz-worthy and the culturally relevant.
- 2+ years managing a team. You're a team player and bridge builder at your core.
- Deep knowledge of upper funnel versus lower funnel dynamics, with a clear view on how to sufficiently evaluate the performance of brand channels and campaigns.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Bonus if you have
- High-growth startup experience is a plus.
- Experience with media buying.
- Experience in the travel industry / travel marketing.
- Experience & understanding of tech-enabled marketplaces.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (business/marketing)
For this role, the target base salary range in Toronto is $115,000 - $145,000 CAD annually. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits. In general, our ranges reflect the market-based target for new hire salaries based on the level and location of the role. Within the range, individual pay is determined by objective factors assessed during the application and interview process, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Turo highly values having employees working in-office to foster a collaborative work environment and company culture. This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Turists will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
