Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada MAKR Full time

WHO WE ARE…

We are MAKRs – Our common goal, our passion, is to create global communities connected through play and social experiences. The MAKR Group is comprised of three brands: Waterplay, a global splash pad provider; Parkworks, a Western Canadian park space supplier; and Wekid Mfg., Canada's most playfully professional steel manufacturing team.

With tens of thousands of play and park space installations worldwide, we've helped millions of people of all ages and abilities access fun, inviting, and "go-backable" recreation spaces. What makes us jump out of bed every morning is knowing we're integral to creating these meaningful places, and we need people like you to help us build them

WHO YOU ARE…

If you grew up loving Tetris, organizing Lego by colour, choosing hands-on projects, and now keep your pantry impeccably ordered, you might have the spatial sense and attention to detail we need. We're looking for a true team player - someone who never says, "That's not my job," but instead asks, "How can I make this better?".

You inject fun into all aspects of your work and invite others to do the same. We're a different kind of company, and we're looking for a different kind of individual to join our team

WHAT YOU'LL DO…

Our team is growing and we're looking for a Warehouse Material Handler with better-than-good technical aptitude and planning skills, experience in manufacturing and fabrication environments, and finesse in analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Verify that all vendor-supplied materials meet our quality standards
  • Ensure all products built by our Production team are accurately assembled and securely packaged
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to build pallets and custom features
  • Carefully (and creatively) pack stainless-steel components destined for communities around the world
  • Work with a wide range of tools and equipment, including computers, handheld scanners, power tools, and forklifts

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • A Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Previous experience in logistics, manufacturing, and/or fabrication environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience safely operating forklifts
  • Experience safely using handheld power tools

OTHER INFORMATION:

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kelowna, BC (805 Crowley Ave, Kelowna, BC V1Y 7G6), working Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.

WORK PERKS:

We thrive when our MAKRs thrive Here's what you can look forward to...

  • Competitive hourly pay starting at $24.00–$26.00, plus the potential to earn more through an annual bonus
  • 2 weeks of paid vacation and 5 wellness days that can be used flexibly to cover illness, injury, or personal time off
  • Comprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision), RRSP, and DPSP eligibility after three months
  • Access to free and confidential counselling, coaching, and resources through our Employee and Family Assistance Program
  • Professional development opportunities to help you grow your skills and career
  • Safety reimbursement for eligible expenses such as safety shoes, prescription safety glasses, and custom hearing protection
  • A fun, people-first culture with product "testing", catered lunches, contests, silent auctions, and more

MAKR fosters an inclusive environment where every team member is valued, respected, and encouraged to share their unique perspectives. As part of this commitment, we welcome applications from all qualified persons.

We thank all applicants for their interest. Due to the high volume of applications received, only candidates selected to move forward will be contacted.
