Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Electrical Controls and Automation Specialist based in Mississauga, ON. The role entails designing, programming, troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining automation systems, control panels, and electrical systems tailored to industrial applications. Key responsibilities include PLC programming, HMI development, system testing, and project commissioning. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet client requirements and timelines will be a vital part of this role.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems
  • Proficiency in electrical systems design, circuit analysis, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with industrial automation systems, control panels, and robotics
  • Familiarity with robotics would be an asset
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and electrical codes
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
  • Ability to work on-site in Mississauga, ON, with occasional travel to customer locations (mostly GTA)
  • Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field preferred
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PLC programming, electrical safety) are an asset
