Senior Credit Analyst

The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for the proactive management of a portfolio of buyers. This is accomplished by collecting the proper level of information and evaluating buyers manually according to set criteria. Manages difficult circumstances effectively by the application of facts, analysis, and careful preparation.
Key Responsibilities/What You Do:
- Using sound credit analysis procedures, manage a lucrative portfolio of business within the parameters agreed upon with the Regional Director of Information & Grading.
- Conduct buyer visits or phone conversations to gather crucial information for buyer portfolio monitoring.
- Maintain contact with Finance Directors and Treasurers through visits, phone calls, and written letters to monitor high-risk customers and gather proprietary information for the EHNA database. Using all available information, grade buyers consistently within authority and make comprehensive recommendations to Supervisor and/or Regional Director when outside authority.
- Conduct financial and credit analysis to determine the proper credit rating for the company under consideration.
- Communicates underwriting requirements on industry outlooks and target markets with Sales Agents, Commercial Underwriters, and/or clients.
- In charge of developing industry sector outlooks (using both public and proprietary data) to evaluate underlying market trends.
Key Requirements/What You Bring:
- Bilingual (English & French)
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or finance, MBA preferred
- 4-7 years' experience in financial management experience in banking, credit insurance brokerage or a credit insurance environment.
- Excellent computer skills, with an understanding of financial software and spreadsheet packages
- Credit knowledge and experience with high-volume risk analysis and underwriting
- Market knowledge of the local economic environment
- Expertise on a particular region and/or trade sector
- Strong skills in financial analysis; very good knowledge of Finance and Credit Management
- Expertise and experience in buyer's assessment

Le ou la Analyste Crédit Senior est responsable de la gestion proactive d'un portefeuille d'acheteurs. Responsabilités Clés / Ce Que Vous Faites:

- Effectuez des visites chez les acheteurs ou des conversations téléphoniques pour recueillir des informations cruciales pour le suivi du portefeuille d'acheteurs.
- Maintenez le contact avec les Directeurs Financiers et les Trésoriers par le biais de visites, d'appels téléphoniques et de lettres écrites pour surveiller les clients à haut risque et recueillir des informations exclusives pour la base de données EHNA. Utilisez toutes les informations disponibles pour noter les acheteurs de manière cohérente dans les limites de votre autorité et faites des recommandations complètes au Superviseur et/ou au Directeur Régional lorsque cela dépasse votre autorité.
- Effectuez des analyses financières et de crédit pour déterminer la cote de crédit appropriée pour l'entreprise en question.
- Communiquez les exigences de souscription sur les perspectives de l'industrie et les marchés cibles avec les Agents de Vente, les Souscripteurs Commerciaux et/ou les clients.
- Responsable du développement des perspectives sectorielles de l'industrie (en utilisant des données publiques et exclusives) pour évaluer les tendances du marché sous-jacent.
Exigences Clés/Ce Que Vous Apportez:
- Bilingue (anglais et français)
- Baccalauréat en administration des affaires ou en finance, MBA préféré
- 4 à 7 ans d'expérience en gestion financière dans le secteur bancaire, le courtage en assurance-crédit ou un environnement d'assurance-crédit.
- Excellentes compétences informatiques, avec une compréhension des logiciels financiers et des progiciels de tableur
- Connaissance du crédit et expérience en analyse de risque à volume élevé et en souscription
- Connaissance du marché et de l'environnement économique local
- Expertise dans une région particulière et/ou un secteur commercial
- Compétences solides en analyse financière; très bonne connaissance de la gestion financière et du crédit
- Expertise et expérience dans l'évaluation des acheteurs
