Job Title: IBU Account Executive

Location: Edmonton, AB (In-office)

Salary: $65,000 and up + commissions

This developmental role offers the chance to manage a small book of business while expanding your commercial lines expertise in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Service - Manage a book of small commercial business accounts, responding to inquiries, handling policy changes, and following up on claims.
  • New Policy Writing - Write new commercial lines policies as needed to meet client needs.
  • Relationship Management - Build and strengthen relationships with both underwriters and clients to foster long-term business growth.
  • Networking & Lead Generation - Attend industry events and actively seek new business leads through networking opportunities.
  • Client Education - Advise clients on additional coverage options that suit their business needs, enhancing their protection and satisfaction.
Who You Are
Qualifications
  • CIP Designation or currently working towards it (an asset).
  • Level 2 Insurance License required.
  • 2+ years of experience in Commercial Lines within an insurance brokerage setting.
Skills & Attributes
  • Organized & Proactive - Ability to multitask, prioritize daily workload, and take initiative to enhance client relationships.
  • Customer-Focused - Strong communication skills with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Team Player - Able to work collaboratively in a team while also being self-motivated to achieve individual goals.
  • Tech Proficiency - Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Word.
